Real estate Finance Lawyer

Duties

Oversee junior-level, mid-level and special counsel lawyers on all legal aspects of domestic and cross-border public and private M&A transactions involving strategic acquirers and financial sponsors from U.S. and Canada, including mergers, joint ventures, stock/asset acquisitions and divestitures, leveraged buyouts, carve-out transactions, minority investments, refinancing, and corporate restructuring, for international law firm with over $400 million in annual revenue.  Advise emerging growth companies and individuals in legal aspects of equity growth and venture capital financings.  Advise private equity funds on legal aspects of investing in distressed companies.  Provide legal advice to private funds and portfolio company clients on effect of divestitures to blank-check companies.

Requirements

Juris Doctor (J.D.) and 4 years of experience in position offered or as Associate Attorney at international law firm with at least $400 million in annual revenue. All required experience must have included handling legal aspects of domestic and cross-border public and private M&A transactions involving strategic acquirers and financial sponsors from U.S. and Canada, including mergers, joint ventures, stock/asset acquisitions and divestitures, leveraged buyouts, carve-out transactions, minority investments, refinancing, and corporate restructuring.  Must be a member of New York State Bar. Salary: $500,000/year. 9AM-6PM, 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday.
